Metro Railway's Clarification
1
In the revised tender document in Annexure C. Schedule of rates, B-CCTV Items Point 14 “raid 5 based storage Device Qty 2 as per KOL Metro BOQ sheet (page- 69).While as per RDSO Specification Sheet Sr. No. 5.11.4 (page-23 of 48) says “The system should provide minimum 18.0 TB usable after RAID 5 configurations for every 32 cameras for storing minimum 30 days recording or as specified by Purchaser” . As per RDSO clause the total quantity of storage will go to 23 + (one Storage per station as every station have around 30 – 32 cameras)

Two nos. of SAN/NAS of size 10 TB usable each against item no.14 of Schedule-B in Annexure-C will be used in OCC for storing of sensitive videos from selected cameras for analysis etc. Although RDSO specification does not include NAS specification, the bidder can offer NAS of reputed make for consideration. The station level recording of nearly 30 cameras will be made in the Storage Server, for which 4 TB HDD has been specified. Metro railway is well aware of the limitation of the storage space under the scope of the present tender and hence it will have to be satisfied with a recording of minimum seven days at station level. There is no such duration stipulation for central storage, as it will depend on strategic selection of cameras on a day-to-day basis.

2
Revised tender Document asks cost for 24 port layer 2 switches qty 60 and 2 nos. layer 3 (page – 68), while RDSO specification sheet Sr. No. 5.12 (page – 23 of 48) asks 8 port layer 2 switches and 24 port layer 3 switch (Sr.No.5.13 of page – 23 of 48). If we quote as per RDSO doc quantity will differ and design will also get change.
Metro Railway has given specification of both station level and core switches separately under Technical Parameters and hence RDSO specification will not be applicable for the switches.

All the cameras will be recorded at their respective stations. With each station having 30 camera. Then what is the purpose of asking for another set of 763 recording and analytics Licenses? If it is intended to record all the Cameras parallel in central place also than you need 30 servers on central location as well. Please clarify.

The composite video signal coming from all the stations will be viewed and monitored at 5 locations, where it may be required to archive and analyze video signals also. Hence, the license for 763 cameras for five user. All the cameras may not be required to be recorded for all the time at OCC. For this, five to seven servers may be sufficient. If not, the bidder is free to bid for additional servers against Item No.23 of Part.-B of Schedule of Rates(Annexure-C)
