The equipment quoted by the bidder should be GPRS and EDGE ready. Moreover, they should include all the stacks (e.g. automatic train control, track side maintenance etc) of EIRENE and MORANE. The GSM – R system shall seamlessly be upgradable to handle signaling information to TPWS train borne equipment in future to support ETCS level 2 signalling or equivalent. The bidder shall submit suitable supporting document that its proposed GSM-R system is installed and successfully supporting ETCS level 2 signalling system or equivalent, anywhere in the world.

Performance Guarantee bond (PG) (i.e.5% of the total contract value excluding amount of maintenance schedule ‘C') shall be released on completion of the life span of the system defined (10 years, ref para 7(xv)), to be computed from the date of issue of FAC. No further PG shall be required for AMC.
